/ there’s this word i just learned about that fits perfectly with the week i had. to many weeks if im being honest, of a sort of emotionally dull state of mind, apathy and void. the word, which is russian btw, is written and pronounced “toska”, representing vast levels (or shades, to be more exact) of deep emotional oscillations, often related to states of void and emptiness. it can stand for a sensation of great spiritual anguish, without any specific cause, as well as a deep dull ache, as if of the soul. a longing with nothing to long for, a vague restlessness, mental throes, or yearning. a sort of boredom easily compared to nostalgia.

#toska
/ russian noun to define “different levels of sadness, melancholia or lugubriousness”
